Some Vintage Finds

It's been a little while since I last posted and I'm sorry if you've been visiting, only to be greeted by the same old post. Many things have been keeping me busy and it's been challenging to find the time (and energy) to blog, stitch, and be creative, despite the fact that blogging has been on my mind for the past three weeks.

When life gets busy, it's always nice to go flea marketing, since I think about little else than the present moment. The sights and sounds of a flea market are as soothing to my soul as a sunny beach and sea air. So, in today's post, I thought I'd share a few recent finds with you...vintage sewing notions, fabrics (surprise! :), and bright, cheerful post cards.

:-: Wishing you a nice day! :-:

  2. It's wonderful for you that going to fleamarkets calms your mind - that's exactly what sewing does for me. :) I love how everything in my head seems to fly off while doing it. :))

And you have such a talent for finding treasures on fleamarkets. You care about the details and that is so important, if you ask me. And you have an eye for colors and shapes. :))

    Have a lovely weekend. :))

  5. Hand quilting calms me. I really like what you have found. Is it a linen type? I am trying to be good about buying fabric.

  6. We have been missed you! Almost as much as I miss Paris (spent 2 weeks there in early July!) Where did you get those beautiful finds? I visit Les Puces and found a couple of treasures but these I am very jealous of!

  10. What wonderful - and color coordinated! - little finds. That postcard is really sweet.

I know exactly what you mean about wanting to go flea marketing - and just being in that moment - when things get hectic. For a while there I was managing to escape to some of my favorite junk malls on a fairly regular basis, but farm life has been crazier than usual and I haven't been treasure hunting in a while. I noticed during the past few weeks that the urge to go out and find some wonderful little vintage things keeps tugging at me harder as the days pass. :)
