Merci à "De fil en aiguille"

This organizer is for holding ongoing cross-stitch projects in one easily accessible and transportable place. It's made with vintage fabrics, ribbon, tape, and is cross-stitched on linen.

The cross-stitch pattern is from the lovely French magazine De fil en aiguille* (n° 71, September-October 2009), which recently announced that it was going out of business due to financial difficulties. More information (in French), including a letter from the editor, can be found here.

I was very sad to hear this news about such a pretty and inspiring magazine that has always succeeded in offering appealing cross-stitch patterns, beautiful photos, helpful instructions, and interesting articles. My thoughts go out to the magazine's staff and contributors, who've done such a great job.

* De fil en aiguille = From needle to thread

Thank you all for your comments!

Life in yonder, I know that it was possible to buy old issues through their website, but it is unfortunately no longer online.

By the way, the pattern is from the n° 71 September-October issue. Sorry for omitting this info! I've edited the post to include it.

Although the cross stitch pattern came from the magazine, I'm sure that the author never envisioned such a creative finished product. Your work is stunning!
