The Quilt Top is Finished!

One of my goals for 2009 is to make my first quilt, so I've been working on this one (originally mentioned here). I call it "The Silly Squares Quilt". And finally, the top is finished! It's by far the biggest sewing project that I've ever worked on, so it's nice to be able to say that.

Thank you so very much for your comments on previous posts -- I really appreciate them! A très bientôt!

Merci mille fois pour tous vos commentaires, qui me donnent du coeur à l'ouvrage. A très bientôt !

  3. Your work is wonderful. It is so CLEAN and FRESH looking. It is enormously appealing. I love color but sometimes it is the ABSENCE of color
that allows the other colors to speak...your white is so well placed. I wish I could speak to you in French. One of only a few regrets I have in my life is that I never learned to speak the language. We spent 20 years traveling to St. Barts, FWI and I did learned to read road signs, labels in the grocery store and parts of a French menu. I think French is an exquisite sounding language. I also think the French people are so very nice. Thank you for a lovely blog. I intend to get mine up and running soon and hope one day you will visit it. Best regards, Karen

  13. I am so happy to find your blog through Decor8! We are planning a trip to Paris in October and I cannot wait! You have such a lovely blog! I just made my first quilt for my son with some of these same fabrics. I went much more simple with my design, but now I may have to try something like this for my second one! Thank you for the wonderful inspiration!
    Hugs from Morocco!
