Vintage Inspiration

Old bobbins of thread in pretty shades of blue, green, and yellow (oh, a package of needles, too)...these were in a metal cookie tin that I feel fortunate to have found the other day. Despite their age, the colors are just as bright and cheerful as I imagine they were when new.

They've inspired me to make something in similar colors -- what, I don't know -- but I do know that I just love these colors together. Hope you have a warm sunny weekend!

I LOVE those old spools of thread. I have a few myself from my mom's stash. I wish they still made them like that. I save the wooden spools and am waiting til I come up with a use for them.

Do you shop alot? I was wondering how you come up with all this stuff? Well, have a nice weekend too (: izazbz at yahoo dot com

These colors go very well together and they are in perfect accordance with the work you have done recently (I don't know if you've always liked these blues and greens or if this is a "recent" taste since your boy's birth).
I do not use green frequently which makes me admire your work even more! Your japanese fabrics are also gorgeous (do you have a preferred online shop you would recommend for jamapnese fabrics?) - Ia pologize for my terrible english writing. A bientôt
