A Patched-Together Pincushion

Over the years I've managed to collect oh, let's just say "quite a few" scraps of fabric. Since I can't bring myself to part with them (and you never know when they might come in handy...right?), once in a while I dig through them and try to prove to myself (and to my husband, understanding though he is) that I can actually put them to use.

That was the case with this little lavender-filled pincushion made of vintage fabric and linen. And I hope there will be many more projects like this to come!

  1. Wow- even things you 'patch together' look like they belong in a high-end boutique on Fifth Ave in Manhattan. Crazy!

Thank you also for posting links to the books from which you find your cross stitch patterns. I think I'll be ordering from Amazon France in the near future.

  18. I have made lavender filled (used my own!) scissor fobs that I use for cross stiching (a place to hold extra needles). Lavender grows almost like a weed! BTW Love the scissors!
